How Do You Improve Website Navigation?

Website is your potential marketing tool for businesses. Even with great content, you can still turn away your customers with poor navigation. This is the one logic in website development: if your customer can't move the first page of your website, how will they opt for your services?

Reveal Your Website Structure: If your toolbar reveals the content of the entire site then obviously it shows over stuffed. But you need to be specific while designing navigation toolbar because it should be designed according to the site type. Navigation toolbars are best suitable for web applications serving diverse user needs and preferences.

Don’t Conceal The Info: All the pertinent pages should come one after another in a row and never should it be separated by more than three clicks. This not only gives your visitor more time to read every page carefully but also provide shortcuts through site maps, table of contents and menus.

Be clear in your approach: Rather putting ambiguous graphic while having navigation toolbar don’t be mysterious to make visitors curious for your website but it might easily irritate them.

Use Conventional Icons and Terms: There are few conventional terms and icons which should be used to give your customer ease of use.  Say for instance, if you have a shopping site and in place of order you put ambiguous words it might not work out rather tempt visitors to leave your site without giving you even a second chance.

Avoid irrelevant links:  If your visitor is spending time in your website, don’t let them feel they wasted their time. During Website Development, ensure you don’t clutter with all the irrelevant links in your website which will not only look unorganized but also least desired by your visitors. The point is screen space is very important and precious, use it wisely.
